POL-Agent Co.Ltd.  was set up in 1990  in Szczecin as  one of the first private companies  in harbour and forwarding services industry.

Since 2006   we have been member of  C.Steinweg –Handelsveem B.V Group of Companies  with seat at Rotterdam, one of the leading warehouse operators , both holding container  terminals and offering wide range of  logistic and forwarding services. C.Steinweg  Group has  offices in  several dozen countries of the  world  enabling us thereby to offer our clients more versatile and complex services worldwide.

Our diversified  business does cover  various services , the most important being :

• Shipping agency services in Polish ports ;
• Booking both conventional and containerized cargo  from/to all ports in  the world;
• Carriage of cargo onboard both ferries and ro-ro vessels to Scandinavian ports;
• Domestic and international forwarding of  export, import and transit cargo;
• Logistic services in relation home-home;
• Handling heavy lift and oversize cargo;
• Customs agency services;
• Cargo insurance;
• Storing of cargo.

Our Company  is closely cooperating with  ship-operators , shippers, ports, road and rail carriers  so as to offer  our customers the best added value and the highest quality of services.

Our Main Office is located in Szczecin  and  its main area of activity is  the Western part of Poland with the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście.

The Branch Office of Gdynia  does offer  the services mainly to the clients of Eastern and Central parts of Poland   who channel their cargo through Gdynia and Gdańsk ports.

We  are shipping agents of Euroafrica Shipping Lines Co.Ltd. of Szczecin in  respect of its shipping service linking Polish ports to those of Great Britain in cooperation with Mac Andrews Company Limited.

We are  also shipping agents of Euroafrica Shipping Lines Co.Ltd. of Szczecin in  respect of its shipping service to the ports of  West Africa.

Since 01.10.2000 we have  also been shipping agents for H.Stinnes Linien GmbH of Rostock.

Beside our  activity as shipping agents for liner operators we render also shipping agency services to  tramp operators  at the rate of abt. 150 ship calls a year.

We  have been enjoying trust and cooperation on the part of  a number of  first class ship-operators.

Our  expertise and experience in the business  have gained us the trust and confidence among our trading partners who , in turn , entrusted us  carrying  out  complex and  considerable orders  such as:

• Delivery of capital goods to Wałbrzych and Bodaczow;
• Carriage of  parts of power plant to France ;
• Carriage of power plant to Ireland;
• Forwarding services in  harbor  in respect of contract for  delivery of power plant  from Czech Republic  to mainland China  ( two years’ contract  for 25,000 ton )

As recognition for the role of position of our Company ,  we have been  several times awarded prizes  in “ Forwarder of the Year “ competition.

Since 2003  we have had ISO 9001:2001 Certificate and since 2005 ISO 14001:2005 Certificate.  In consequence we do comply with the relevant internal control requirements and are able to  handle also dual-use items , arms and other products of  specific nature.

In 2009 we  acquired the AEO ( Authorized Economic Operator ) status which enables us to offer  our clients the customs agency services  within the  simplified procedure system.
